What is the normal value for the pressure difference of circulating water in chemical processing units? How can we ensure that the pressure difference of the circulating water meets the requirements of the production equipment?
Our supply water pressure is 0.4 MPa, and the return water pressure is 0.15 MPa. The return water pressure depends on the height of the return pipe in the water system and the flow pressure, while the incoming water pressure depends on the outlet pressure of the pump and the flow pressure drop. There is usually a valve at the inlet and outlet of the heat exchanger to regulate flow.
The supply water pressure is 0.35 MPa, while the return water pressure is 0.13 MPa; this depends on the specifics of one’s system setup
The water pressure on my device is around 4 kilograms, while the return water pressure is close to 2 kilograms

The supply pressure for the circulating cooling water is 0.4–0.45 MPa. A higher flow rate leads to better heat exchange efficiency; generally, there are no specific requirements regarding the return water pressure, and this pressure can be adjusted as appropriate based on the process requirements, either for the heat exchanger or the main return water pipe.

It mainly depends on how much cooling you need; for circulating water, the focus is on the cooling effect, not on the pressure difference
