The scope of application of the design codes for urban heating pipelines specifies that the design pressure for steam should be ≤1.6 MPa, and the design temperature should be ≤350°C. If it exceeds this range, which specification should be used?
Of course not, the main issue is that it’s generally not allowed to exceed these pressure and temperature limits.
Can urban heating exceed this range?
So what about steam pipes at 1.0 MPa and 425 °C?
It can’t go beyond the limits, right? You can check the corresponding manual; it’s covered in the training*
Yes, but when dealing with steam at slightly higher temperatures and pressures, it’s unclear which specification to refer to
I’m not sure; GB2 does not specify clear temperature and pressure ranges. The design specifications for urban heating networks only outline the applicable range, without indicating what to do in cases where the steam parameters exceed this range
The design codes for industrial metal pipelines explicitly state that they are not applicable to municipal utility pipelines
I think the design should be graded; those that exceed the standards for towns should be designed in accordance with thermal pipeline requirements
