Rome wasn’t built in a day; excess fat around the waist results from daily indulgences; environmental problems don’t arise over night either. In environmental protection wastewater treatment, how to improve the efficiency of wastewater treatment and reduce energy consumption relies on technological innovation; however, most technical approaches remain focused on process modifications and operational adjustments. Today, I would like to share a new perspective and approach for improvement. Microorganisms play a key role in wastewater treatment; by enhancing their biochemical efficiency, it is possible to improve the effectiveness of wastewater treatment, raise the standards for wastewater discharge on-site, increase the volume of wastewater that can be treated on-site, and reduce operational energy consumption.
How can microbial efficiency be improved from a microbial perspective? Here, we have to talk about the Gancheng hanging curtain filler. I. Advantages of using Gan Cheng Man® NST curtain filler: (It can increase biochemical efficiency by more than twice.) 1. Rapid establishment of a robust bacterial biofilm! Fast startup! Debugging is short! The filler fibers of Gan Cheng Man® NST hanging curtains have been subjected to NST nanomization treatment; each fiber surface features a large number of nanoscale pores (see Figure 1). These fibers exhibit excellent bacterial affinity, and their specific surface area increases by more than 30%. Since 80% of biodegradable pollutants are broken down by bacteria, and the size of most bacteria is only 0.5 to 5 micrometers (see Figure 2), fibers treated with a nanoscale surface treatment can provide a suitable habitat for these bacteria, allowing them to enter rapid logarithmic growth phase and become the dominant bacterial population, thereby forming a bacterial membrane that enhances biochemical efficiency. Therefore, Gan Cheng Man® NST hanging curtain filler is the most suitable for bacterial attachment and the formation of a robust bacterial biofilm; it enables the biochemical system to start up quickly, resulting in a short time required to reach operational standards. http://www.gcmcf.com/Uploads/image/20160113/20160113094009_66869.png
2. Strong resistance to impact loads! It can operate efficiently and stably! Ganchengman® is woven from a large number of surface-nano-porous fibers, containing numerous spaces with pore sizes ranging from 2 to 108 microns (see Figure 3), which allow a wide variety of microorganisms to settle there and become permanent residents! According to Dr. Wilson, winner of the International Biology Prize, and his theory on biodiversity 【The greater the biodiversity, the more stable the ecosystem!】 The resilience to external disturbances is also higher! 】 (See Figure 4) ; Empirically, Gan Cheng Man® NST curtain fillers exhibit an extremely strong impact load resistance! http://www.gcmcf.com/Uploads/image/20160113/20160113094030_82438.png
3. It can reduce the aeration volume! Reduce operating costs! The Gan Cheng Man® NST hanging curtain filler features a wide range of pore sizes from 2 to 108 μm, resulting in high biodiversity. This is in line with Dr. Wilson, a winner of international biology awards and an ecologist, whose theory on biodiversity states that the higher the number of species, the greater the efficiency with which energy can be utilized by a system! 】 (See Figure 5). Due to the high efficiency of energy utilization, the efficiency of oxygen utilization is also high, which allows for a reduction in the aeration volume required in the biochemical tank, thereby lowering energy consumption and saving on operational costs. http://www.gcmcf.com/Uploads/image/20160113/20160113094053_26587.png
4. It has a strong ability to remove nitrogen and phosphorus! The Gan Cheng Man® NST hanging curtain filler features a special weaving pattern that goes from dense to loose from the inside out (see Figure 7), enabling the material itself to create an anaerobic, facultative anaerobic, and aerobic micro A/O environment from the inside out (see Figure 6) ; It can accommodate a large number of nitrifying and denitrifying bacteria simultaneously, possesses SND functionality (simultaneous nitrification and denitrification function), and has excellent efficiency in removing nitrogen and phosphorus! http://www.gcmcf.com/Uploads/image/20160113/20160113094114_16308.png
5. Easy film removal and replacement! Microorganisms keep food fresh efficiently! The Gan Cheng Man® NST curtain filler features a curtain-style design (see Figure 8), with a thickness of only 3 mm (see Figure 9) ; When microorganisms age and die, they lose their stickiness, and under the push of living microorganisms as well as the effect of gravity, the biofilm naturally falls off! Good metabolism! Microorganisms keep food fresh efficiently! http://www.gcmcf.com/Uploads/image/20160113/20160113094143_43525.png
6. The film has a low weight, making installation simple! The Dry City Vine® NST curtain-type filler features a curtain design that makes demolding and film replacement easy, resulting in a film with low weight! (3–7 kg per square meter) Can be installed using woven nylon rope expansion anchors! (Refer to Figure 8) Simple to construct, significantly saving time, materials, and labor costs! . Even when installed with a steel frame, the amount of steel used is less than 30% of that used for elastic/fabric-filled packing. 7. In-situ upgrading and renovation – the fastest way! Least expensive! It can be installed and run! The Gan Cheng Man® NST hanging curtain filler can be installed at high density (see Figure 8); with an adequate amount used, it can double the water treatment capacity! In-situ upgrading, expansion, and capacity enhancement – fast and cost-effective! It saves over 50% in costs compared to conventional methods of upgrading and expanding capacity, something that cannot be achieved due to the limitations of traditional packing materials!
In-situ upgrading and renovation are feasible, effective, and ensure stable operation. Double the water volume in situ ; The emission standards range from Level 1B to Level 1A. Completed in situ. There is no need to expand the pool. Expanding the pool: 1. It requires land, the approval process is complicated, and it’s not certain when approval will be granted. 2. High construction costs and significant financial pressure ; 3. There is an increase in the number of operators, leading to high labor costs; it is difficult to find loyal and reliable staff. 4. Costs such as electricity and reagent expenses have doubled. 5. The construction period is long, and the commissioning period is also long. It’s not needed now. In-situ upgrade, expansion, and renovation. 1. Make completely independent decisions ; You can change it whenever you want ; 2. Low renovation costs, over 50% less compared to new construction ; 3. Short renovation time with quick results, usually 2 to 3 months ; 4. No need to add operating staff; management staff is sufficient ; 5. The increase in operating costs is relatively small ; 6. The effect is stable and sustainable.
Some application examples can be found at http://www.gcmcf.com/Uploads/image/20151012/20151012154052_49939.jpg. At Huayan Reservoir, 18,400 square meters of Ecological Membrane by Genchengman was installed; combined with ecological floating beds, this helps to improve the water quality of the lake. The Ganchengman ecological membrane features a frame structure ; The steel framework is arranged at 5 cm intervals to facilitate water injection during installation ;
