The heat transfer oil furnace keeps failing to start; all the startup parameters are normal and the gas supply is unobstructed. Why can’t it start? It’s infuriating. . . Experts, please help me solve this
Make a picture or take a photo? I’m not sure what type of heat transfer oil furnace you have; ours is electrically heated.
A burner? Is it that the burner won’t start, due to some interlock?
It’s the burner – it won’t start, but everything else like the interlocks is fine. . .
It’s fixed. That day I removed the igniter and saw that there was carbon buildup on it; after polishing and cleaning it, I installed it again. Previously, its position was probably a bit off, so this time I adjusted it slightly. After installation, ignition was possible, but the furnace still wouldn’t start. Upon inspection, it was found that the second electric valve was malfunctioning and not functioning; after replacing the electric valve, the furnace could be started properly. The electric valve that has been replaced now does not have a self-regulation function (for adjusting the gas flow); it still causes the furnace to stop operating after about ten minutes of operation. It is presumed that this is due to an excessive amount of fuel gas and insufficient air flow, so plans are to adjust the cam of the distributor.
