Hello everyone, the Spring Festival holiday lasts about 30 days – how should RO membranes be stored during this time? What issues should be noted?
Fill the membrane chamber with deionized water, leaving a pressure release point at the highest point to prevent pressure buildup, and take measures to prevent freezing in winter.
The operating procedures state that if the system has been shut down for more than 72 hours, 0.5% methanol should be added to it. But on our end, it’s soaked in sodium bisulfite at the site, and a bactericide is also added to it.
Generally, sodium bisulfite or formaldehyde is used for soaking to prevent the growth of bacteria. In winter, glycerin needs to be added as well to prevent freezing!
