The 150-cubic-meter LNG storage tank manufactured by our company has an outer shell diameter of 3800 mm, an inner liner diameter of 3300 mm, and a height of 21,000 mm. Due to its large diameter and long length, it is not possible to assemble it in a vertical configuration. I would like to ask experienced technicians how such an assembly can be carried out in a horizontal position; please share your valuable insights.

There are many people and matters to deal with at the moment; it’s necessary to wait until things stabilize.
For laying the sleeve on vertical storage tanks, just like with ordinary horizontal tanks, a special tool is used; two cranes working together are sufficient
It’s very simple: arrange slides in the outer shell, build a small cart, place the inner container on that cart, push it into the outer shell, pull out the cart, and weld together the seams – and that’s it.

The outer shell has reinforcement rings; is it necessary to cut notches in those rings? If assembly is to be carried out using a sliding track, how should such a track be constructed? Should it be welded to the inner tank, or what approach should be taken? It would be helpful to have a simple diagram so that I can understand better. Thank you.
