Are there SOE records in the DCS system?

Among the systems I have worked on, I have only encountered TRICON systems that have SOE records; SOE functionality is not used in domestic DCS systems. Is this feature an additional service that requires extra payment beyond what’s included in the standard system setup? Do domestic DCS systems have SOE functionality?
I remember now that ordinary users do not use DCS for parking interlock functions; therefore, there is no need to configure an SOE module in DCS. This function is only added in ESD or SIS systems. We have used Zhejiang University’s ESD system, but I can’t recall whether it had SOE recording capabilities.
Most DCS systems can add the SOE function. Function implementation requires the configuration of a SOE card. SOE cards are slightly more expensive than regular IO cards.
Typically, DCS manufacturers offer dedicated SOE cards, such as the FBM207 from Foxboro IA DCS and the CENTUM ADV151-E from Yokogawa.
Can the event records of DCS be equated to SOE?
No, the event records you’re referring to should be used to log various alarm signals, card malfunction issues, or the times at which data is transmitted or downloaded. This information is not intended as data for stopping operations at interlocking points, nor can it be used to determine the reasons for such stops. Therefore, they cannot be considered equivalent.
Generally, only the ValueFriend SIS ESD system requires a relevant event recording function. The HIMA screen software CM that I’ve used in the past would generate SOEs to facilitate recording and querying !
There usually is one; its main function is to keep a record of events. Events for Honeywell PKS, SOE for ESD. ABB also has events and alarm records.
