Issues with the angle of the exhaust furnace burner

There is an issue with the angle of the burner in the exhaust furnace. During the last operation, the tee pipe used to introduce the purified exhaust gas into the furnace became red-hot; I think this is related to the angle of the burner. How can this angle be adjusted?
I should look up diagrams of burners. The actual combustion of exhaust gases should take place around the fuel gas burner at its outlet; the inlet structure that is visible on the outside doesn’t matter.
