What is the difference between the low-pressure flushing diesel and VGO used in the centrifugal pumps at our factory? What are the components of flushing diesel? Isn’t VGO just diesel? What is the effect of these two on the pump?
If I’m not mistaken, it’s probably the buffer used for the mechanical seal, intended to remove heat from inside the seal. This buffer needs to be compatible with your pumping medium.
It should be the external flushing of the mechanical seal, used to improve its operating conditions
For external flushing, if the medium is paraffin oil, it is easy to use diesel as the flushing fluid for the mechanical seal
When selecting the flushing fluid for secondary sealing, the properties of the conveyed medium must be taken into account.
