Dear colleagues: Our company is a manufacturer of modified starches, and we are currently considering purchasing a batch of stainless steel reactors. The main dilemma is whether to use a conical head or an elliptical head at the bottom. From the perspective of unloading, a conical head should be used. But there is one issue: how should the impeller be designed to ensure that the starch material moves downward from the middle of the reactor along the stirring shaft, and then upward along the inner side of the tank wall?
