Dai Haiyou seeks help: Why are the two pipelines connecting to the closed-loop tank of different types?

Help requested from Haiyou: Our drain tanks are usually connected by two pipelines – one coming from the safety valve and the other from the main drain pipe. Once these two pipelines enter the drain tank, according to the schematic diagram, the pipeline from the main drain pipe should be inserted near the bottom of the tank, while the pipeline from the safety valve should be directed toward the tank wall. What is the basis and purpose behind this design? Furthermore, the drawings provided to the manufacturing unit show that both pipelines enter the tank in the same manner, with only a short section extending out from inside the tank
This post was last edited by ylb913 on 2016-1-26 03:54. I answered in the original post, but since I couldn’t understand the diagram, I asked this question to finally figure it out. In the drawings, the inlet to the safety valve is located at the top of the horizontal tank, and a baffle is installed there; this serves to prevent backflow and to separate gas from liquid. Other than that, the original reply should be fine.
Facilitates gas-liquid separation for the safety valve to discharge the medium.
