The Spring Festival is approaching, and I would like to wish everyone: May the Spring Festival help us bid farewell to the old year and welcome the new one with joy! Happy family! Career progress! Everything goes as planned! Methanol Weekly Topic: What to do if the methanol circulation pump stops suddenly? 2016.02.01---02.14
Can’t loop? I guess it’s to turn this off
Cut off the raw gas inlet, maintain the insulation and pressure in the synthesis tower, quickly start the backup unit; if no backup unit is available, immediately shut off the inlet and outlet of the circulation pump, depressurize the circulation pump. After that, restart the circulation pump, and once circulation is normal, connect the gas to the synthesis process

Then I reported that the circulation machine had stopped operating due to an issue with the gas supply. I rushed to the scene immediately. The lubrication pump of the circulation machine lost power due to an electrical problem, which caused the machine to shut down in a chain reaction. The steps taken to resolve the issue were as follows: quickly close the inlet valve for fresh gas, maintain the temperature and pressure in the synthesis tower, close the inlet and outlet valves of the circulation machine to release pressure. After the electrical issue was fixed and power was restored, the inlet valve of the circulation machine was opened for gas replacement, followed by restarting the machine. The inlet valve for fresh gas was then opened gradually to allow gas to flow in. The entire process took around 30 minutes, after which production resumed normal. I not only answered your questions but also handled the situation on-site. What a coincidence, haha
Close the inlet and outlet valves to release the pressure; it can be released completely, or to a level lower than that of the nitrogen used for the dry gas seal before restarting the system.
After the circulation machine trips, the main consideration is the protection of the catalyst. Quickly close the raw gas inlet valve; it is also more convenient to set it up for interlocked closure. As for the synthesis pressure, it is recommended to maintain the pressure first, and then slowly release it depending on the temperature of the bed layer, to strictly prevent the catalyst from overheating.
Turn off the feed gas; depressurize and insulate the reactor for synthesis.

Release pressure, maintain heat insulation, start the circulation machine and feed material to apply load.
