Is it feasible to use OPC technology to read system status variables in order to display the system status on a web page? Have any experts done this before? ? Could you give some advice?
Many manufacturers’ own HMI software supports WEB publishing, such as Siemens’ WINCC. OPC is generally used for communicating with third parties, and it usually also supports WEB publishing
The simplest way is to write an OPC CLIENT in VB yourself, write the values read by OPC into an XML file or a database, and then publish it using IIS via a simple web page. It was possible to do tests before.
