In tap water piping, owners often avoid using tees in order to save money. For example, when connecting a 100-mm diameter branch pipe to a 200-mm diameter main pipe, how should the connections between the main pipe and the branch pipe be made in order to do it accurately and quickly? We compared everything on-site step by step, and in the end the positions where the curves intersected were not aligned properly; it didn’t look good and the process was also slow. The diameter of the main pipe opening should be larger than that of the branch pipe, and the end of the branch pipe must be inserted at least into the inner wall of the main pipe before welding. Instead of making a small opening, with the branch pipe sitting on top of the main pipe.
