Questions regarding registered safety engineers, seeking advice

When applying to become a safety engineer, I just picked any company to submit my application through. My current employer is different from the one I used for the application; I have already obtained the certificate. I heard that since last year, an insurance payment record from the company where one applies is required. I was wondering if this will affect me if I try to register now If you know, please let me know. Thank you
