The supplier’s assessment has no legal validity; it is merely a reflection of the quality of the inspection form. Our provincial quality inspection agency conducts inspections once a year; those that pass the inspection are issued with a signed certificate of conformity. If such a certificate is not attached, severe penalties will be imposed in case of detection, or the item will not pass safety checks.

Combustible gas detectors are metering devices that require mandatory inspection, and regular testing must be carried out at intervals of no more than one year. (1) In accordance with Article 15 of the Metrology Law of the People’s Republic of China, enterprises and institutions that manufacture or repair measuring instruments must conduct inspections on such instruments to ensure that their metrological performance is satisfactory, and they must issue certificates of conformity for the instruments that meet the required standards. These are the requirements and obligations for manufacturers and producers: they must carry out inspection and testing before releasing products from production (obtaining a manufacturing metrology license as well as test reports), and issue certificates of conformity. (2) In accordance with Article 9 of the Metrology Law of the People’s Republic of China, the metrology administrative departments at the county level and above shall enforce mandatory inspections on social public metrological standards, the highest-level metrological standards used by departments, enterprises, and institutions, as well as working metrological instruments that are included in the list of those subject to mandatory inspection and are used for trade settlements, safety protection, medical and health purposes, and environmental monitoring. It shall not be used if it has not been submitted for inspection as required or has failed the inspection. The catalog and management measures for working measuring instruments subject to mandatory verification shall be formulated by the State Council. 　　For other measuring standard instruments and working measuring instruments that are not covered by the provisions of the preceding paragraph, the entities using them shall conduct regular inspections on their own or send them to other metrological inspection institutions for inspection, while the metrological administrative departments at the county level and above shall carry out supervision and inspection. These are the requirements for the entities that use such equipment. For work measurement instruments that are included in the list of those subject to mandatory inspection (such as safety protection products mentioned in the Measurement Law), it is required that they be sent for inspection within the specified time frame ； For those not on the list of products subject to mandatory inspection, the user can decide on their own whether to undergo such inspection or not, and can also determine the frequency of such inspections. In summary, when a product leaves the factory, the manufacturer must carry out mandatory inspections, as well as provide a test report and a certificate of conformity ； The user (enterprise) must, after starting to use it, seek a qualified metrological verification institution (which can be chosen based on proximity), and this should be done within half a year; however, there is no strict rule regarding this time frame – generally, one year is sufficient
