Stopping and purging of the stripping tower

The stripping unit is set to be shut down. During this shutdown process, should steam be used for purging first or water washing first? Please share your opinions actively; there will be rewards
First, the system is flushed using a closed-loop circulation of purified water (with the stripping steam continuously flowing); thereafter, the steam circulation is stopped to allow the temperature to drop. Some manufacturers also add deodorants to the circulation in order to remove odors. After that, the water is drained, and only then is steam purging carried out. After purging, some plants also carry out passivation of the stripping tower; once passivation is complete, fresh water is used for rinsing, and then the manholes are opened.
What is tower passivation?
My personal advice is to first use steam for purging, and then employ a water closed-loop system, in order to prevent the formation of ferrous sulfide naturally
