For fully sealed negative-pressure smelting shafts used to process waste batteries and lead-containing waste, we previously used magnesium-based ramming materials with poor results; now we are using high-alumina ramming materials, which are inexpensive but have average performance. It’s about the material used for ramming; everyone has their own opinion on this. Some people say that refractory bricks are better, but in the past 10 years, the furnaces we’ve worked with have all used ramming materials. It also depends on the manufacturer, I guess.
