Discussion on elbows.

This year, during the routine inspections and adjustments, we noticed that for some of the smaller pipelines inside the installation – those with diameters of 1/2” and 3/4” – at certain bends, the contractor simply bent the pipes directly after heating them, without using elbows. We had them make those corrections as part of the routine inspections and adjustments. So, what would be the consequences if those corrections weren’t made? The pipeline carries steam condensate at around 60°C.
Damn, the requirements aren’t high at all; it’s not worth it. How much does one weld cost? Spending money, huh
Heating tubes are often bent; as long as they aren’t made too flat, there’s no problem.
Check the change in the ellipticity of the tube after bending and the amount of wall thickness reduction to determine whether the thickness meets the design requirements; if not, the service life will not be up to standard. As for the mechanical property analysis of the samples, it’s up to you to decide whether it’s necessary.
