As a high-performance paint, fluorocarbon paint can be found in various applications such as the home decoration industry, enterprises with environmental protection requirements, steel structures or metal equipment, and building exteriors. It not only enhances the aesthetic appearance of cities but also provides long-lasting corrosion resistance. Since building exteriors are difficult to clean and maintain, exterior coatings are designed to have a weather resistance of 10–15 years. These coatings offer excellent protective properties as well as aesthetic benefits; they are indispensable and provide better and longer-lasting protection compared to other conventional coatings. Moreover, they can achieve curing on their own at normal temperatures. When applying to building exteriors and concrete bridges, a coating system that includes a sealing primer paired with an intermediate coat should be used ； When applied to the surfaces of aluminum alloy and stainless steel substrates, we should use a 15um phosphating primer, together with topcoats suitable for aluminum alloy and stainless steel, for joint coating. In short, during construction, operators should select appropriate coating systems and application methods based on the surface of the underlying material; only by using a suitable combination of coating products can a perfect coating result be achieved. When applying fluorocarbon paint to exterior walls, there are two methods: spraying and rolling. The spraying method offers higher efficiency; the resulting paint film is smooth and even in thickness. It is generally suitable for manual work as well as industrial automated production. However, the main problems with spraying are the highly dispersed paint mist and the volatile solvents, which not only pollute the environment and are harmful to human health but also result in waste of paint and financial losses. Rolling, on the other hand, is used for painting large areas and for decorating the interior and exterior walls of buildings, and it is not suitable for surfaces of other shapes.
