She was both a teacher and a mother; during those four years at school, my mentor treated me as if I were her own son – a feeling I had never experienced before in my life. I grew up with my grandparents from a young age, so I have never experienced maternal love. Even when I make mistakes, my mentor will point them out in person, tell me what’s wrong with my actions, and show me how to correct it. But I know in my heart that my mentors are doing this for my own good. I really enjoy playing badminton with my mentor. When playing doubles together, we usually work together to defeat our opponents thoroughly. But when playing against them as a pair, I’m too scared to play recklessly, hahaha. . . My mentor also said it’s not good to do this; other teachers will have thoughts about it, but I just don’t care. Once, I fought against a teacher from that department; I worked together with my mentor, and essentially it was just me who dealt such a heavy blow to the other side that they hardly had any chance to fight back. Later, he still refused to cooperate and wanted to play single, but I crushed him just the same. Later he saw me once and said it once to me. . . . . . I often drink with my mentor too. I’m not good at drinking, but when I drink with him, I’m not afraid of anything; my goal is to get him drunk, hahaha. . . However, I never managed to get my mentor drunk, as he is from the Northeast and has a very high tolerance for alcohol. But I still haven’t given up yet, because I haven’t achieved my goal! Although it has been many years since graduation, I dare not forget the kindness shown to me by my mentor at all. Keep it in mind at all times. One year after graduating, I had intended to go back to celebrate my teacher’s birthday with them, but for various reasons I was unable to do so. I really want to say sorry to my teacher, Aunt Tian! Later, Aunt Tian told me that she put aside everything just to wait for me to come over for that occasion; she was waiting there for me, but I ended up breaking my promise. Every time my mentor’s birthday comes around, I send them a text message, but they don’t seem very happy about it. It's all my fault. Aunt Tian, I’m really sorry; it wasn’t intentional. If I get the chance, I will definitely go back to celebrate your birthday with you. . . . . .
Working isn’t like when I was studying back then; time no longer belongs to one’s own self. I had planned to go somewhere, but something came up and delayed it, and I feel that this isn’t good at all
