Weld height for welding thick plates and thin plates

As the title suggests: When performing T-joint welding using 6 thick pieces and 4 thin pieces, is it required that the height of the weld roots not exceed the thickness requirement of the thin plates?
It can’t be greater than the thickness of the thin layer, right? I was just talking casually. . .
Can it be selected as 0.5 to 0.7 times the thinner or thicker thickness, or at a lower value based on certain process requirements?
Using 4 is sufficient; if the value is too low, it reduces the safety of the weld joints
For a T-joint of this thickness, the stress it experiences is certainly not high; it is sufficient to determine the weld angle height based on the thickness of the thinner sections.
