I would like to ask: how are the pneumatic valves used in air separation plants maintained during normal operation? Do people replace the internal components on a regular basis, even when there are no problems with the valves?
Replace the packing and diaphragm, and perform regular air venting
Daily inspections, regular predictive maintenance. Inspection, repair, and overhaul after taking it off the line. Arrange maintenance plans based on the condition of the medium. Based on the long-term recorded on/off times of the valve. For example, if it used to take 5 seconds but now, with unchanged field conditions, it takes 15 seconds, this indicates that the valve internals may be worn and there is a problem. There are also current projects in which AMS systems are incorporated into the systems; these systems can help identify valve failures, thereby facilitating maintenance and repair.
Apart from inspections, we generally conduct regular leak tests, regularly clean the pressure relief valves, and regularly tighten the gland nuts.
Inspection items: airtightness test, cylinder seal inspection, valve opening and closing time, cleaning of pressure relief valves, lubrication by adding oil to the cylinders, regular oiling of the worm gears in valves, self-check of positioners, verification that the air-open and air-close tests were carried out properly
Replace wear parts regularly based on usage frequency and operating conditions!
