The signal transmission distance from the on-site cabinet room to the control room is over 600 meters; the signal type is digital signals, which are primarily used for important signals such as the indicator lights and start/stop buttons on the auxiliary control panel. Fiber optics cannot be used for this transmission, nor are there any I/O remote stations. Do any experts have any good solutions? Thank you very much~
A regular instrument cable will do; there’s no need for a shielding layer. What’s the problem? :o
The remote DI from the control room to the on-site cabinets is what you refer to as the buttons on the auxiliary control panel; they are used primarily for initiating shutdowns via the SIS system interlocks. A hardwired connection is required for these, and a regular multi-core cable will suffice. If there is concern regarding excessive transmission distances, it is advisable to use a cable with a larger cross-sectional area – for example, instead of 1.0 mm2, choose one with at least 1.5 mm2. 600 meters is considered a normal transmission distance
The main issue is that the transmission distance is a bit long, and I’m worried about signal attenuation
The 2*1.5 control cable is fine; even when transmitting a 4–20mA control signal over a distance of 1000 meters, there are no issues at all

A 600-meter cable with 1.5mm2 is fine; if you’re concerned, you can use a 2.0mm2 cable
When transmitting a digital signal over a distance of 600 meters, is there any need to worry about signal attenuation? Using ordinary instrument cables is completely sufficient; there are no issues at all.
At a distance of 600 meters, how much further can the digital signal attenuate? A regular signal cable should be sufficient.
If it is an analog signal, are there any special requirements regarding the cable specifications and models?
