The wastewater treatment section of our project is currently in the civil engineering and infrastructure phase. The Process Technology Department needs to organize meetings with our Mobile Equipment Department, Engineering Department, as well as the electrical and instrumentation workshops to discuss the overall layout plan for this wastewater treatment system. How should these discussions be conducted? It seems there’s nothing to discuss; there’s nothing to say. Here, we have to bring together various departments just to discuss any drawing, no matter what it is. What kind of management style is this?
Process review. Each specialty should examine the drawings for any inappropriate elements based on the characteristics of that specialty
As the title suggests, civil work and infrastructure construction are in progress! As I understand it, the civil construction work has already begun; the overall layout must have been determined long ago. The civil engineering design takes into account the load requirements of the equipment, fire safety considerations, etc., in order to determine the foundations and the spacing between various elements. Then civil engineering construction proceeds. Are there any other auxiliary devices involved in the review of the layout?
This is quite normal; generally, many discussions don’t produce anything valuable. If it has a proper design, there should be no major issues; taking into account the specifics of each relevant field, consider whether there will be any problems or inconveniences in its operation in the future. Location: Consider whether it is reasonable based on the process flow, and whether the electrical equipment can meet the usage requirements, etc.
