At the top of the buffer tank, there is a liquid inlet valve, an air inlet valve, and an air outlet valve. The liquid inlet valve is controlled by the liquid level, while pressure is regulated through the air inlet and air outlet valves. What is the best method for controlling this pressure?
I think it’s better to use step-controlled operation: the intake valve opens when the pressure is low, and the exhaust valve opens when the pressure is high.

Additionally, for safety reasons, a safety valve is needed to prevent overpressure, and a low-pressure interlock is required to open the intake valve in order to prevent negative pressure.

This can be perfectly solved with a dual-port breather valve. Check this valve and you’ll see; it allows for the presetting of exhalation and inhalation pressure values.

That’s a good question. I’ve asked this before: we have an additional emergency release valve on the top of the tank. The air intake pressure control valve is responsible for regulating the air intake, the breather valve handles the exhaust, while the emergency release valve activates when the liquid level rises
A simple pressure relief mechanism will suffice; it’s best to include a safety valve as well
