There are various reasons: whether the detection element (such as orifice plates) is installed in accordance with specifications, whether there is any leakage in the pressure transfer pipes, whether there is strong electromagnetic interference at the site, whether the signal wires are shielded, whether the transmitter has been properly calibrated, and whether the parameters of the flow meter are set appropriately.......

There are also issues related to installation, parameter setting, whether temperature and pressure compensation is applied, whether small-signal rejection is set appropriately, whether the range of the secondary instrument (DCS) matches that specified in the throttling device’s calculation documents, and whether double squaring occurs with the transmitter and the secondary instrument……
