ABB electromagnetic flowmeter display issues

I’ve just started using ABB electromagnetic flowmeters, model FEP-300. I’m facing a problem: when there is flow, the reading shows as a negative number, while when there is no flow, it reads 0. I went to the advanced menu and checked the Meter Mode; it was set to forward and reverse direction, with Flow Indication set to forward. After confirming that the actual flow direction was correct, I set the sensor direction to forward. Then I checked the PV value – the negative number disappeared and it now reads 0, but flow is still being detected. Could you all tell me how you set this up, and what else needs to be adjusted? If the fluid direction is set correctly yet there is still no flow indication, check whether the empty pipe detection is enabled, as this can sometimes have an impact.
The process pipes are marked with flow directions, which correspond to the F direction on the flow meter; that’s why I set the Meter Mode to allow only forward flow (which is equivalent to disabling reverse flow). But once the valve was opened, the display showed only 0. It turns out that before making this change, the value was negative, and it displayed 0 when the valve was closed
It is recommended to perform a factory reset of the transmitter. Then reset and put it into use again
