Friends who use the David process: In David’s design, the upper and lower pipes of the steam drum are straight; a flow-limiting orifice plate is installed in the middle of this pipe section (marked as a reducing pipe on the drawings). Since there is a gas boiler in the previous workshop, the drawings do not show this component. I’m posting this to ask those who have already used this process what the purpose of this flow-limiting element is, as designed by David I have set the data for this pipe section in my design as follows: the pipe diameter is 167, and the flow-limiting orifice plate has a size of 80.
What is your drum pressure? What’s the pressure in the tower?
Reply to Floor 2: The process design specifies a steam pressure of 1.0 MPa, while the operating pressure of the system is 2.5–2.8 MPa
The number of downcomers, and whether they lead to different methanation reactors, should be determined by considering the resistance balance within the system; in addition, the circulation rate of the circulating water system must meet the required standards.
It should be the one that controls the flow rate of the downcomer.
