Discussion on the method of adding catalysts for transporting cold silicon hydride powder

Dear predecessors and colleagues, hello. In the current process of synthesizing polysilicon through cold hydrogenation, copper chloride or cuprous chloride in 30 KG barrels is commonly used as a catalyst, which is added directly by operators from the feeding port at the top of the silicon powder tank (as far as I know). This practice can inevitably cause harm to the health of employees and lead to waste of the catalyst. So, are there any more advanced methods for household materials? For example, how about vacuum suction? Is it being developed?
Complex methods lead to greater waste of catalysts, so simple methods prove more effective in this case. Of course, the operators just need to take proper safety precautions.
It doesn’t seem practical at all. If you send silicon powder and catalysts into a fluidized bed, the process involved is too complicated; it’s better to use forklifts and manual labor instead
