Gentlemen, why do some mixers use intermediate sliding bearings while others use bottom bearings? What are the advantages and disadvantages of each type of bearing?
The bottom bearing offers better stability, but it requires higher installation standards and can easily affect the layout of the discharge port. The bottom bearing can be located within the medium, or it can be designed in a more complex manner to be placed outside the tank and replaced.
The advantage of bottom bearings is that they ensure stability during high-speed mixing of the rotating shaft, while the disadvantages are inconvenient installation and removal, potential rusting due to direct contact with the medium, and difficulty in maintenance
