Does anyone have any experience regarding the use of pressure control valves for calcium carbide slurry? The pressure control valve used in our company failed due to erosion of its valve body after less than two months of use； For the first use of a butterfly valve, it lasted less than 40 days; for the second time, an eccentric rotary valve was chosen, and it lasted less than 35 days – in both cases severe corrosion occurred on the valve body ； The valve bodies of both types of valves have been hardened ； Medium: calcium carbide slurry, alkaline in nature, containing ferroselenium particles; strict requirements are not imposed on valve leakage, and leakage is permitted ； Pressure: around 1.0 Mpa ；
Control valves do not fall under the category of analyzers; it is best to seek answers in the valve section.
Slurry valves are recommended; these valves are used in the alumina production section, are highly efficient and wear-resistant, and are suitable for this application
