In chemical enterprises, which pressure gauges need to be inspected by the quality supervision bureau? Do the pressure gauges on pumps need to be inspected as well?
Refer to the mandatory inspection list; pressure gauges must be inspected every six months.
Gauge pressure meters that are subject to mandatory calibration (such as those on pressure vessels) must be taken to an institution qualified to carry out such calibration; the rest (such as those on pumps) can be self-calibrated, but either self-calibration or the use of accurate standards also requires obtaining approval from the technical supervision authorities.
On August 6, 1991, the **Technical Supervision Bureau issued the \"Provisions on the Inspection of Working Measuring Instruments Subject to Mandatory Inspection (Trial)\」, which clearly defined the scope of mandatory inspection for pressure gauges (including pressure gauges, air pressure gauges, and oxygen gauges). 1. Pressure gauges used for safety protection must undergo mandatory calibration. Including the following 7 categories: a. Measurements of the main boiler cylinder and the feedwater pressure area ； b、Measurement of the pressure in the air reservoir and main pipes of fixed air compressors ； c. Measurement of generator and turbine oil pressure as well as locomotive pressure ； d. Measurement of pressure in medical autoclaves and pressure cookers ； e. Pressure measurement with alarm device ； f. Measurement of the pressure in a sealed pressurized container ； g. Measurement of pressure in harmful, toxic, and highly corrosive media. (for example: Bourdon tube pressure gauges, electric remote transmission pressure gauges, and electric contact pressure gauges). 2. Wind pressure gauges used for safety protection must undergo mandatory calibration. That is: the measurement of wind pressure and wind speed in the tunnels of a mine. (for example: mine air pressure gauges, mine wind speed meters). 3. Oxygen meters used for safety protection must undergo mandatory calibration. It includes the following 2 categories: a. Measurement of the oxygen monitoring pressure during the filling of oxygen cylinders ； b. Measurement of oxygen pressure, which is explosive and poses a safety risk during the manufacturing process. 4. Oxygen meters used in medical and health fields must undergo mandatory calibration. That is, the measurement of oxygen pressure in float-type oxygen inhalers and oxygen supply devices used for oxygen delivery in hospitals. It can be seen that there are a total of 3 types and 11 categories of pressure gauges that require mandatory calibration; not all pressure gauges need to undergo such mandatory calibration.
