Regarding the existing iron-sulfur recovery processes both domestically and internationally, I hope everyone can offer some suggestions regarding the filtration of liquids similar to sulfur slurry – what types of filtration equipment are being used, what is done with the sulfur obtained through filtration, and how it is packaged.
For the sulfur cakes produced by the current complexation iron method, the main filtration techniques used are belt filtration, drum filtration, and plate and frame filter pressing. However, the sulfur cake after water removal still contains 20%-30% moisture at the very least; this level of moisture is quite high for manufacturers who purchase sulfur. If sulfur melting is considered, the purity of the resulting sulfur is around 99% at most, not 99.99%, but it is still sellable. The price of pure sulfur imported recently has dropped significantly. Even after it is melted, the market demand isn’t very high. I hope everyone can share more of their opinions.
The temperature of the sulfur slurry is between 130 and 150 degrees, and conventional filtration equipment is not suitable for this requirement. A fully stainless steel (or carbon steel) closed-blade filter can be used for filtration
