We all know that motors used with Class A substances require explosion protection, but do motors used with Class B, Class C, and Class D hazardous materials also need such protection? How is the explosion protection rating determined? Which zones are the hazardous areas? ?

It has little to do with what substance it is; it depends on the specific substance and the environment! However, categories A and B usually need to be explosion-proof, while categories C and D do not!
