However, it’s essential to thoroughly degrease oxygen pipelines. I’ve heard that alkaline solutions and steam are used for cleaning or purging these pipelines. The reason for degreasing oxygen pipelines, in my opinion, is that fats can easily react with flowing oxygen, leading to combustion and explosion accidents. It’s worth noting that I saw a case on a forum recently: it was said that the floor where oxygen equipment and oxygen generation devices are located should not be made of asphalt, as the volatile substances in asphalt could combine with oxygen (rich in oxygen) to form explosive mixtures.
