After expansion, air should be fed into the tower as much as possible within a certain range in order to increase the oxygen extraction rate. You can determine your bypass flow rate by testing the nitrogen content in your waste gas; just conduct such tests and keep the oxygen content in the waste nitrogen as low as possible~~
My personal understanding is that the expanded air can provide cooling for the device, but it is overheated for use in the upper column; an excessive amount of such air entering the upper column will result in a reduced reflux ratio there, thereby lowering the argon fraction. By adjusting the amount of bypass dirty nitrogen, the cooling capacity of the entire system can be increased, as more fluid can enter the main heat exchanger for heat exchange, thereby increasing the cooling capacity of the whole unit.
