When it was installed, no attention was paid to this; this flat plate is lower than the lower edge. Logically, it should be moved to the correct position. I would like to ask what impact it will have on measurements if it isn’t moved and instead is set to zero directly
Adjusting it to zero directly using the zeroing potentiometer has no impact on the measurements, as migration is inherently related to its own zero point. If the amount of migration is not significant, adjusting it with the zeroing potentiometer yields the same result as adjusting it with the migration potentiometer; the only difference is that the adjustment range of the migration potentiometer is larger than that of the zeroing potentiometer.
In most cases, it’s sufficient to simply zero the scale; this will not affect accuracy. It’s best to zero it when the container is empty for the most accurate result
Zeroing out simply adjusts the zero point; it is not a migration. The migration of a double-flange gauge refers to the migration of the entire range; this is known as range migration, and it is not merely about adjusting the zero point. Zero adjustment and range shift should be two different things.
I also encountered such a problem recently. The personnel on site did not perform any migration; they simply reset the instruments to zero, and everything works fine now. The problem is that a high pressure reading is shown when it is placed on a flat surface; after installation, the pressure reading is 0
There’s no problem with this. Putting it on the ground is equivalent to moving back.
