One issue encountered at present is that the flare pipe inevitably forms a low point; according to the regulations, a liquid separation tank or condensate tank must be installed. However, after consulting GB50160, it is unclear how to define such tanks installed along the flare pipe in terms of fire separation requirements. I’d appreciate some advice from those who know more; thanks!
It can be determined according to Table 5.2.1 in GB50160.

The torch piping must either rise step by step or fall step by step; accumulation of fluid is not allowed.
Please refer to 5.5.23: The liquid separation tank, as an auxiliary device of the flare, can be arranged near the flare. Due to the relatively long length of your pipelines, it is possible that there are additional liquid separation tanks outside the flare area; in such cases, the distance between them is usually over 1.5 km, so there is no need to consider fire separation distances
