This process consists of two parts: pretreatment and acid production. The pretreatment stage includes the centrifugal separation of sulfur foam, the concentration of the filtrate, as well as the preparation and transportation of sulfur slurry ; The acid production section comprises five processes: the combustion process (incineration of sulfur-containing waste liquids, preheating of combustion air, and waste heat recovery systems), the purification process (humidification, cooling, and demisting of high-temperature flue gases), the conversion process (conversion of sulfur dioxide and heat exchange), the dry absorption process (drying of SO2 gas and absorption of sulfur trioxide), and the final absorption process (removal of residual SO2, escaped NH3, and H2SO4 mist).
It’s similar to the pyrolysis regeneration of spent sulfuric acid, where organic substances are broken down during the pyrolysis process.
