I have a question now: For a customer’s liquefied petroleum gas storage tank, the outlets of the two safety valves are connected together without any reduction in diameter. Is this in compliance with the regulations?
Two safety valves are considered, one in use and one as a backup; the discharge capacity of each valve is sufficient to meet the overpressure requirements, therefore there is no need for a change in the diameter of the outlet pipe.
Agree with the second floor – the safety valves operate in a one-in-use and one-backup configuration; it’s not necessary to change the diameter, but the pipe diameter should be calculated based on the pressure drop in the main pipeline.
It meets the specifications; they come in one active unit and one standby unit.
