Here are my thoughts on this matter. Since there is no industrial process for producing propylene directly from propane in a single step, theoretically, the following processes exist: 1. Propane → Propylene → Propylene production via the isopropylbenzene method； 2. Propane → Propylene → Direct oxidation method for propene ； 3. Propane → Propylene → Isopropanol → Propylidene ； 4. Propane → Isopropanol → Propylidene ； At present, the first process is the main industrial method for producing propylene, accounting for over 90% of the total propylene production, while the latter three processes produce only a partial or small amount of propylene. If it is only a theoretical design, a choice can be made from the routes mentioned above; if a feasibility study is to be conducted, economic considerations must also be taken into account.
