We examined several options; SCR is a process that requires significant investment and high consumption. According to the information provided by the designer, the cost is 23 yuan per ton of coke. Can’t afford it.

The projects that have been completed and put into operation so far include the Baosteel Zhanjiang project (provided by MCC Coking & Refractory and for flue gas desulfurization and denitrification), as well as the Shandong Tiejiong Xinsha project (with two units, one developed by MCC Coking & Refractory and the other by Hefei Chenxi; both are only for flue gas denitrification). The main issue associated with low-temperature SCR technology for flue gas denitrification in coke ovens is the stability of the catalysts in operation

I have only visited the Zhanjiang project; I haven’t obtained any detailed information. It is understood that the conversion rate for ton of coke is around 11–12 yuan per ton, though this figure may vary depending on the specific conditions of each coking plant.
The contract value for Baosteel’s project in Zhanjiang is 130 million yuan – it’s unaffordable. It was done by MCC Coking & Refractory and Anhui Tongxing.
