Can DN200 PN1.6 flanges be used with DN200PN2.5 inner and outer ring gaskets? Can the inner and outer ring gaskets DN200PN2.5 and DN200PN1.6 be used interchangeably? Is the center distance the same? Express
They have different pressure ratings and cannot be used interchangeably. The inner and outer ring wound gasket DN200PN2.5 can replace DN200PN1.6 ; DN200PN1.6 cannot replace DN200PN2.5.
Generally, different pressure ratings result in different sizes. However, it is also possible for two pressure levels to use the same size. For details, please refer to the standards.
If the pressures are different, you can use one with a higher pressure in place of one with a lower pressure; however, the reverse is not possible.
This post was last edited by jfwzf on 2016-4-16 22:15. Can gasket rings of DN200 PN2.5 be used for DN200 PN1.6 flanges? Suggestion: It’s feasible. The outer ring can be ground from Φ274 to Φ266. Can the gaskets with diameters DN200PN2.5 and DN200PN1.6 be used interchangeably for the inner and outer rings? Suggestion: No. The previous solution was a temporary emergency measure; improper installation can lead to problems. Is the center distance the same? Suggestion: They are different. The flange center distance for DN200 PN1.6 is Φ295, and that for DN200 PN2.5 is Φ310.
Flange sizes vary depending on the pressure rating; gaskets of a higher grade can replace those of a lower grade, but not the reverse
The sizes are different too, so it won’t fit in.
It should be possible, but the type of flange sealing surface needs to be checked carefully – it can’t be mistaken. Those with inner and outer rings are used for the RF type
