Grundfos models installed in enhanced safety type junction boxes

Typically, the body of an explosion-proof junction box is threaded, and it can be specified to have NPT or M threads; accordingly, M and NPT flanges or flexible hoses can be used. The incoming connection for the increased-safety type junction box is via a flange, and metric M-threaded flanges are usually used for this purpose. Can a junction box of this type be equipped with NPT-threaded flanges, along with locking nuts, sealing rings, and other accessories similar to those used with M-threaded flanges? If so, what additional accessories are needed? And if not, why?

Please note that the threads used for installing the gland plate must be flat threads, namely M or G threads, so that they can be secured with lock nuts. The NPT thread is a self-sealing tapered thread, and it cannot be secured to the flange using a locknut.
