In piping diagrams, what does LGS in PIPE, SAW, LGS, PE, GB/T3091 mean? What about the rest? High-frequency straight-seam welded pipes – what is the role of PE here? Doesn’t PE mean flat seam?
Is it related to PE, BE, and your welding procedure specification WPS? If it is plug welding and the wall thickness is thin, use PE ； If it is butt-welded and the wall thickness is large, then bevels must be created in a BE shape.
Pipe refers to the type of pipeline; “saw” denotes submerged arc welded pipes, while LGS is an abbreviation for Longitudinal Seam, referring to pipes with straight seams. PE indicates the anti-corrosion type, which is based on PE technology
