One of the carbon dioxide compressors in our plant suddenly had its throttle valve close completely during operation. An on-site inspection revealed that the pressure indicated by the VOITH electro-hydraulic converter for the secondary oil was zero. When signals were sent from the control room, the oil pressure did not change. The DV24V voltage supplied to the electro-hydraulic converter was normal. A few hours later, the secondary oil pressure returned to 0.15 MPa; when signals were sent from the control room, the pressure changed again. We would appreciate it if experts could help analyze what caused the secondary oil pressure to drop to zero. The temperature at which the electro-hydraulic converter operates on site is relatively high, with a measured value of around fifty degrees, but this still falls within the temperature range specified on the converter’s specifications.
