Can ordinary workers in chemical manufacturing plants take the basic examination for registered chemical engineers?
There are certain requirements regarding education and work experience! Chemical engineering engineers: the required experience is 8 years for those with an associate degree, 5 years for those with a bachelor’s degree, and 3 years for those with a master’s degree; additionally, a background in chemistry-related fields such as materials science or chemical engineering is required

If it is intended to use exams to encourage learning, it can be tried, but applying for professional exams requires a work certificate from a design firm.
One can take the basic exam upon completing an undergraduate degree. For reference, one can use the two-volume book \"Review Guide for the Basic Exam of the Registration Examination for Chemical Engineers\" published by Tianjin University Press. After passing the basic exam, and five years after graduating from undergraduate studies or three years after graduating from graduate studies, one can take the specialized exam. The core subject is generally Principles of Chemical Engineering, but the questions are very practical, making the subject quite difficult to pass. No authoritative exam preparation materials are available on the market.
I agree with what you said earlier. Regarding textbooks for professional exams, there are study aids available on the market. One is the Tianjin University version, and the other is the association version. There are such posts on the forum; you can give them a look.
