In China, the main entities engaged in direct coal liquefaction (including coal-kerosene co-processing) include Shenhua (which carries out commercial-scale direct coal liquefaction on a million-ton scale in Ordos), Yanchang Petroleum, which deals with 450,000 tons of VCC production through coal-kerosene co-processing; Zhaoqing Shunxin Coal Chemicals, which is involved in pilot-scale mild liquefaction processes; Zhongke Synthetic Oil, which conducts pilot tests for low-temperature and low-pressure coal hydrothermal pyrolysis on a ten-thousand-ton scale; and Shanghai Xinyou, which is involved in coal-kerosene co-processing
