Does anyone have an emergency response plan for leaks in high-pressure nitrogen (air-bath type) vaporizers in air separation units? If so, please share it. Thank you!
If there is a leak in the finned tubes of an air-temperature type vaporizer, shut off the inlet and outlet first, then release all pressure from inside it. If welding can repair the leak, do so and then conduct a pressure test before putting the unit back into use~~
Do you still want to conduct a choking prevention drill?
High-pressure nitrogen is generally not supplied by using a liquid nitrogen water bath for reheating; instead, medium-pressure nitrogen is provided for the safety of the equipment, and in some cases, instrument air is also supplied.
